About Us
It all begins with an idea.
I grew up the son of a nursing home administrator; meaning I visited on holidays, I volunteered with activities, I put on a magic show or two, I even raced my friends on the extra motorized scooters. I also grew up loving books and have become an avid reader. One day I was taking a required training on infection control , or hand-washing or something like that that I’ve taken countless times. I was not doing a good job of paying attention and decided to pick up the book I was reading when I had a thought, I wish there were more resources aimed at helping me improve as a leader. After some thinking, some research, some procrastinating, some more thinking, some life changes (like changing jobs, moving out of state and having our second child) Leadership CEU’s was born.
While building this web-site and running senior living communities, I’ve come to recognize and realize that technical knowledge (e.g. survey compliance, MDS, etc.) plays an important role, but this is a people business of residents, team members, families and others in which leadership skills are crucial.
So our aim at Leadership CEU’s is to provide resources and support in helping you continue to grow as a leader so you can improve the lives of others.
